Travel Friendly Treats For Mom
Friday, May 1st, 2020
This Mother’s Day is a little unorthodox, and while the traditional Mother’s Day brunch may be out of the picture, you can still show Mom some love! Whether you need to drop off or mail a care package, these tasty treats are travel friendly and sure to make her day!
Cowboy Cookies
Sweet, salty and a little bit healthy, these cowboy cookies from Mom’s Kitchen Handbook are packed full of flavor, with just the right chocolate-to-nut and dried-fruit ratio.
Mimosa Butter Cookies
Give Mom a champagne toast with these mimosa butter cookies! Refreshing and light, it will be like having bottomless mimosas in cookie form. If you don’t want to use Champagne, sparkling cider also works great with this recipe.
Chipotle Crackle Cookies
Does Mom like a little heat with her treat? Whip up some of these chipotle crackle cookies! The ground chilli pepper adds a special zing to these chocolate treats.
Hazelnut and Cherry Whole-Grain Crackers
This treat is great if Mom prefers a savory palate over sweet. Simple to make, these crackers last for weeks, so she’ll be snacking all month long! Pair them with a gift card so she can get some cheese and wine to create the perfect night in!
Homemade Biscotti
Tough, sweet, and pairs great with coffee, this biscotti recipe is perfect for mailing to Mom! We recommend sending it with her favorite coffee beans so she can be ready for your next virtual coffee date.
Nothing says, “Thanks Mom!” like a homemade treat! Don’t forget to include a special note to let her know how much you love her. If you need to mail your treats, it’s best to double wrap them in plastic wrap and pad them with newspaper to make sure all of your hard work isn’t broken during transportation. Happy Mother’s Day, and happy baking!
