Summer’s almost here and the warm weather that comes with it, which means LOTS of fantastic opportunities to get out, hang out, and have fun in and around Whitney Ranch! We’ve rounded up great things to do so you can start planning your picture-perfect summer!
The Ranch House
There’s nothing like summer at Whitney Ranch! There will be some fun things happening at The Ranch House, like movies in the pool, ice cream on deck, pool parties, banned toy time (hello, unicorn floaty!), crafts, parents’ night out, and more. Enjoy some live music
Bring the family and meet up with your neighbors for a rockin’ evening of free live music throughout the summer! Check out the lineups at Rocklin’s Quarry Park and Roseville’s Concerts on the Square.
Watch a movie under the stars
Gather will be hosting several free movies in the park this summer, so be on the lookout on their website when they begin posting the dates.
Celebrate July 4th
Party Independence Day style at Rocklin’s Celebrate America event at Twin Oaks Park and take in the Roseville 4th of July Parade! We’ll be posting more about these awesome events as information becomes available, so follow along here on our blog, Facebook, and Instagram for the deets.
Eat ice cream
Nothing says summer like a lazy afternoon enjoying a cold treat! Take the kids to The Parlor Ice Cream or Sugar + Cream and discover your new favorite flavor.

From refreshing craft brews to sophisticated and nuanced vintages, our region is full of opportunities to partake in locally crafted beer and wine. Summer is full of special events too, including the Rocklin BrewFest, Auburn BrewFest, and Grape Days of Summer on the Placer Wine Trail.
Go on an adventure
The outdoors is the ultimate playground, and we’ve got plenty of recreation areas, parks, and attractions to keep your family entertained. Cool off at Wake Island Water Park, take a hike at Auburn State or Folsom Lake recreation areas, or choose your own adventure at Quarry Park!
