Our community is surrounded by miles of trails and beautiful scenery for you to embrace your inner wilderness explorer and get moving! Here’s 5 ways you can enjoy the great outdoors at Whitney Ranch this week.
1. Learn to roller skate at Whitney Park
If you’re a fan of Tik Tok, then you know that roller skating has become a growing trend these past few months, and Whitney Park includes 40 acres of space for you to work on your moves. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, you can experience a day of roller fun in the sun!
2. Work on your running goals
Is one of your 2021 goals to run a 5k or even a half-marathon? Take to the trails and build up your endurance and stamina! If you need an extra boost of motivation, check out this app that turns your weekly runs into a mission to escape zombies.
3. Enjoy a nature walk and picnic with the kids
Take the kids on an adventure through Whitney Ranch! Start your day with a nature walk and scavenger hunt at one of our parks or trails. Check out these awesome printable lists with a variety of themes! When you have found all your items, head to a grassy area and enjoy a homemade picnic.
4. Pick up a game of basketball
Need to perfect your 3-pointer? Grab your basketball and head over to either Bolton Park or Brigham & Hawes Park! Both feature half courts for you to work on your skills or play a game of HORSE.
5. Take an outdoor fitness class at the Ranch House
Start your day right by getting your blood pumping at a free outdoor fitness class at The Ranch House! Each class takes place in the parking lot, and is only for residents. Stop on by and work towards your fitness goals with your fellow neighbors! Please note that you must bring your own exercise or yoga mat and social distancing will be in effect.
