A September Pop-Up to Remember

What a busy, fun, interactive summer it has been in Whitney Ranch!  We’re over a month since school started, and all the new routines are starting to settle.  With fall quickly approaching and all the High School athletics in full force, we’re on track for another good season.  Although, it’s not as easy to take a minute aside with everyone’s schedules in play we wanted to give a shout-out for a new and exciting pop-up serving the Rocklin & Sacramento areas.   Omakase Por favor is a one-of-a-kind experience that combines a Japanese raw bar with traditional coastal Mexican cuisine.  If you are free from seafood allergies this culinary adventure is guided by Placer County native Jeana Pecha.

Jeana has an incredible story since beginning her work in professional kitchens in 2010.  At age 20 Jeana won The Food Network competition Guys Grocery Games.  Soon after she studied food, culture, and fine dining in Colima Mexico.  After graduating from the Culinary Institute, she trained in Napa at Archetype & Bottega, did a short stint at Alinea Chicago, opened and managed The Lost Parrot Café in South Pasadena, and helped build the award-winning Spokane Washington restaurant, Zona Blanca.  What a great addition to our culinary scene! The up-and-coming restaurant will certainly be one to inspire, let’s keep her here.

Omakase Por Favor has multiple events coming up in the area.  If you looking for a date night or even just a detour from your habitual dining routine, it will be easiest to catch them at their pop-up on September 30th at Out of Bounds Brewing Co. in Rocklin.  Let’s give her a warm welcome back and support to help her launch the physical location at 12 Bridges in 2023!
